Oblivion Remastered - How to Carry More Items without Maxing Strength (Mage Build)

In RPGs like Oblivion, amassing loot is the primary way to gain wealth and improve your character. The natural cap to this is how much your character can carry at one time.
The common way to increase your carry weight is to increase your strength when you level up. This certainly works but it's annoying if you're building a mage or rogue character to have to plop valuable attribute points into strength just to carry your loot around.
So this is what I do to always have 100s of pounds of carry weight at any one time.
Increase Carry Weight to 500+ with Spells
Feather spells can be found / bought when you join the Mage's Guild. These spells fall under the Alteration school and allow your character to carry more.
The ones you'll find in the wild will feather 50 - 150 per cast for 30-60 seconds which is pretty good.
But once you unlock the Altar of Spellmaking at the Aracane University (by passing all the Mage's Guild recommendations) you can craft your own, more powerful spells.
Here you can craft a Feather 100 for 120 seconds spell which increases your max carry by 100 for 120 seconds and only costs 8 magicka (at Master Alteration level). This effect can stack if cast from multiple different-named spells providing an easy way to cast near perpetual feather effects giving you 100s of extra pounds of carry weight.
So what I like to do is include this Feather affect on my normal buffs:
- Buff Magicka - gives me more magicka
- Buff Shield - Gives me shields
- Buff Summon - Summons
Together this gives me 300 feather over 120 seconds and I can keep casting these every few minutes to keep it alive.
Currently my character can get up to 500 carry weight with these spells which has proven more than enough to carry all my loot around.
