How I Clean My Glasses

I'm near-sighted and worn glasses ~daily for the past decade or so. It took me awhile to find a simple and effective approach to cleaning my glasses so here I wanted to share what I've found useful.

How I Clean My Glasses

I clean my glasses lenses by:

• Turn sink water on and run the glasses under them to rinse them off
• Get a squirt of dishwasher soap and rub them on each side of the lenses, in a circular motion from the center
• Rinse the soap off
• Shake the glasses vigorously to get most of the water off
• Blow on the glasses to get the last bits of water off
• Airdry the rest

I've found this to be the fastest, most effective, and least prone to needing rewashes method so far.

• Dishwasher liquid - useful to get the gunk off but also not leave smudges
• Air dry - So you don't inadvertently leave smudges from whatever you're wiping with
• Water in sink - so it's fast and don't need another material (which again may leave smudges)

So that's how I clean my glasses. LMK if you have a better method cause I'll likely be wearing glasses daily for the rest of my life so any improvements here have a long time horizon for dividends.
