Kunitsu-Gami - 3 Ways to Hit Flying Enemies

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is a tower defense game that pits you against hordes of angry spirits. As the game goes on it will throw new spirits with unique strengths, weaknesses, and abilities.

An early enemy variant you'll need to face is flying enemies so here I'll share 3 different ways to deal damage to flying enemies.

1. Use Soh's Uppercut move

Soh (the main character) is likely the most powerful attacker you have on your team. Soh's normal attacks cannot hit flying enemies as you'll only be slicing away on ground level, but there are a few special attacks that can hit flying enemies.

Using Soh's uppercut move with X, Y (Xbox) causes him to do an uppercut that slices in a substantial area. This makes it an effective move for hitting flying enemies.

Note: You could also just do jump, X but this has a lower area of effect and thus is harder to hit with.

2. Use Soh's Bow

As you progress through the game you will unlock new weapons and combat abilities for Soh. One of these is a bow. Bows are a bit slow but very effective against flying or hard-to-reach enemies - particularly when combined with its explosive effect.

To use the bow:

  • Progress enough in the story to unlock Soh's Bow
  • Unlocks Soh's Bow from the upgrade screen
  • Lock on to an enemy with Right Thumbstick (Xbox) and then fire at them with Left Trigger (Xbox)

3. Use Archers

As powerful as Soh is, they often aren't powerful enough to stop every enemy without at least some damage to Yushiro. This is where your Archers come in - providing a slow but wide ranging attack that can handle most flying enemies by themselves.

I personally like to keep my archers fully upgraded which unlocks a double-shot ability, allowing each archer to handle twice as many weak enemies at a time.
